Ithaca Parks and Recreation

Ithaca and the surrounding areas offer a wide variety of recreational activities for all ages from youth to adult.

Ithaca is blessed to have two parks within its City limits; Woodland Park is a highlight of activities in the winter with the only hill in the county for sledding, and an ice skating rink. Residents united to build a wooden playscape for all ages along with picnic area and pavilion for reunions or other activities. Atkinson Park is also a recreation area for play. The Ithaca High School swimming pool is the spot to hit on warm summer days. Camping is a just a few miles from the city.

The Ithaca Jailhouse Trail provides 3.2 miles of naturesque pathway for hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing. For a map of this trail (at McNabb Park) please click here.
