Eric Leonard, Lieutenant - Gratiot County Sheriff's Department
In April of 2013, the City of Ithaca contracted it's police services with the Gratiot County Sheriff's Department. Through this collaboration, an "Ithaca Unit" of the Sheriff's Department has been formed, with 24/7, dedicated patrol and community policing services to the City of Ithaca. This joint venture has allowed the City to maintain the 24/7 coverage, bring more services to the residents of Ithaca and save money in return. This is one of our most successful collaboration efforts.
Lt. Leonard oversees the day to day operations of the Ithaca Unit.
The Gratiot County Sheriff is Michael Morris.
